Cross Layout

Cross Layout

Difficulty: Easy

The Cross Spread is good for questions asking for advice. It can also be used to determine the meaning of a confusing domino from a previous reading, or for that matter, to shed light on other points of confusion.

In questions asking advice, this layout is self-explanatory. The main thing is to determine the difference between dominoes #2 and #3. #1 is the topic and #4 is the result.

In questions regarding confusion, such as: "What was the meaning of Domino (X) in the last layout?" the main thing is also to determine the difference between dominoes #2 and #3. In this case, #2 will show what the domino was not referring to, and Domino #3 will show what was really meant. Domino #1 is the topic and #4 represents the purpose it serves.

It Deals with This

Two/Three (RA/PA): The Demon of Death

Activity that Achieves Destruction

At this moment, it may be best to delay your pursuits. Pressing forward now will likely lead to setbacks and obstacles that could hinder your progress. This may seem like a negative sign, but it offers you an important opportunity for re-evaluation. Take time to adjust your approach, refine your strategies, and plan for the future. You'll find success later, but only after taking the time to reconsider your methods and eliminate the barriers in your way.

Do NOT Do This

One/One (DHI/DHI): The Jewelled Banner of Victory

Hoisting the Banner of Victory

The time is ripe to embark on new ventures and opportunities. Whatever you set your sights on now will be achieved, often surpassing even your highest expectations. This is a time for success and growth. Logical thinking and introspective meditation on your spiritual guide or deity will yield significant rewards. Partnerships and collaborations are favoured, so don't be afraid to join forces with others. Opportunities may seem too good to be true, but take the time to explore them before dismissing anything.

DO This

Two/Four (RA/NA): The Dried-up Tree

Essenceless and Inconceivable

The lack of results is symbolised here by a dried-up tree that produces no fruit. This domino suggests that your current pursuits are not yielding the desired outcome because they may be based on unrealistic expectations or too many distractions. You may be reaching for something beyond your grasp, and the constant pressure of unfulfilled desires is draining your energy. Perform rituals to honour your ancestors or the spirits of the earth to restore balance and refocus your energies on achievable goals.

It Leads to This

Six/Three (AH/PA): The Nectar Rays of the Moon

Good Dense Clouds

The sign of 'the Good Moon' represents light-heartedness and ease, suggesting that you will find success through enjoyment and simplicity. During this time, playful and light-hearted activities will flourish, but remember, force or manipulation will not bring results. Allow things to unfold naturally, without trying to exert too much control. This sign favours harmony, so approach situations with gentleness and openness. White-coloured objects, symbols of purity, are particularly auspicious during this time, aiding in your peaceful progress.
