Cross Layout

Cross Layout

Difficulty: Easy

The Cross Spread is good for questions asking for advice. It can also be used to determine the meaning of a confusing domino from a previous reading, or for that matter, to shed light on other points of confusion.

In questions asking advice, this layout is self-explanatory. The main thing is to determine the difference between dominoes #2 and #3. #1 is the topic and #4 is the result.

In questions regarding confusion, such as: "What was the meaning of Domino (X) in the last layout?" the main thing is also to determine the difference between dominoes #2 and #3. In this case, #2 will show what the domino was not referring to, and Domino #3 will show what was really meant. Domino #1 is the topic and #4 represents the purpose it serves.

It Deals with This

Five/One (TSA/DHI): The House of Good Tidings

Joyful News Arrives at the Summit of the Mountain

This sign is often called 'the wish-fulfilling tree', representing rapid growth and success. Any efforts involving communication, such as sending messages or receiving important news, will be met with favourable outcomes. It suggests that your goals can be achieved faster than expected, particularly when you focus on presenting your ideas or projects to others. The act of decoration, embellishment, or adding flair to your plans will enhance their impact, bringing positive recognition and results.

Do NOT Do This

Five/Three (TSA/PA): The Empty Mind

Scattering the Mind to Pieces

This domino suggests a time of scattered energies and wasted efforts. You may find yourself chasing fleeting thoughts and ideas that dissipate like paper in the wind. The lack of focus and clarity is hindering your ability to achieve success. During this period, it would be wise to resist external distractions and centre yourself through ritual. Perform a grounding or stabilising ritual to regain control of your thoughts and energy. Only by focusing your mental resources will you begin to find the path forward.

Three/Three (PA/PA): The Ocean of Nectar

The Washing that Cleanses

This sign represents wealth and prosperity flowing towards you, like a river feeding into the ocean. Success in ventures related to water is highlighted, particularly those that involve fluidity, change, or travel. However, be cautious with pursuits related to marriage or rituals involving fire, as they may not meet with the same level of success. Prosperity is assured, but it is important to prioritise the right areas of focus for maximum benefit.

It Leads to This

Two/Four (RA/NA): The Dried-up Tree

Essenceless and Inconceivable

The lack of results is symbolised here by a dried-up tree that produces no fruit. This domino suggests that your current pursuits are not yielding the desired outcome because they may be based on unrealistic expectations or too many distractions. You may be reaching for something beyond your grasp, and the constant pressure of unfulfilled desires is draining your energy. Perform rituals to honour your ancestors or the spirits of the earth to restore balance and refocus your energies on achievable goals.
