Mo Dominoes

As with dice, dominoes are a household item that can be used as an oracle. Our Mo Domino readings are based upon Tibetan Mo Dice divination, combining Mo dice with tarot spreads and dominoes to add a new dimension to the traditional method.

Mo dice rolls matched up with a set of dominoes make 28 possibilities, doubled to 56 with the reversals. There are 13 new additions due to dominoes having blanks, so we used the blanks as OM in Manjushri’s mantra: OM AH RA PA TSA NA DHI. This means the new blanks account for 25% of the possibilities, expanding the base of the meanings while raising the significance of the traditional meanings.

Using reversals makes it impossible to draw, for example, a 3/1 and a 1/3 in the same reading. It also makes it twice as likely to draw doubled numbers, which don’t reverse.
